Camp Operations Manager
Full Time (Part time options will be considered)
Manage, support and equip our fantastic team of camp leaders, as they use camping ministry to see children reached with the good news of Jesus!
The Camp Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of camping operations for CRU Educational Camps, including the care and management of the team of Camp Coordinators who direct the majority of CRU Educational camps, with a view to best support CRU’s mission in reaching people for the Gospel of Jesus.
The Camp Operations Manager will work within the CRU Educational Camps team, the division within CRU that runs fully programmed camps for school groups during term times, and will primarily be responsible for overseeing our camp staff, both directors and leaders as well as camping operations. Working with our fantastic team of senior staff, they will also help manage participants of our camping ministry traineeship, the Summit Program. The role is well suited for someone who with strong management skills, is people-orientated, and passionate about seeing children reached with the good news of Jesus.
We are keen to consider applications with:
Strong management skills and organisational efficiency, and the ability to prioritise;
Ability to lead a team of up to 20 other leaders;
A commitment to pastoring and developing a team of leaders towards the goal of delivering the Gospel through relational, educational Christian camping;
A commitment to and belief in the value of camping for providing a positive environment for evangelism;
Friendly, approachable and polite demeanour, and a desire to work closely with school staff, students and other CRU staff;
Interest and experience in working with students from school years K-12, and a willingness to lead on school camps;
A current driver’s license.
A NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
