Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and is the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

We never store your credit card information

At no time do we store your credit card information on our server.

Key Security Features

  • Secure (128 bits SSL, Triple DES & 1024 Bit RSA Encryption)
  • PCI DSS compliant
  • Verified By Visa and MasterCard

Secure Transactions

The Crusader Union of Australia wants to ensure that you can purchase with complete confidence online. We have taken every possible measure to give you absolute security and confidence in your dealings with us.

The complete transaction process (from collection of credit card details to the retrieval of transaction result) is handled either by Card Access Services (CAS) or the eWAY payment gateway. Both of these service providers are PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) compliant at the most stringent level. This is the credit card industry set of requirements designed to ensure the highest level of security for sensitive card data in order to protect your information. Both CAS and eWAY are verified by Visa and MasterCard as complying with these requirements.

The Process

CRU Camps Registration

When you select “Confirm Payment” on the Payment Page your web browser will redirect to CAS Connect, Card Access Services’ Secure Web Servers, which use 128-bit SSL encryption to secure transmission of your credit card details before submitting them to the CAS Payment Gateway for payment authorisation.

When you are ready to make payment and select “Confirm Payment” on our web site, your browser will be redirected to the CAS Connect Secure web server pages. On the CAS servers you will navigate through a series of screens that collectively retrieve credit card details, submit them to the bank and retrieve the result.

Online Donations

When you enter donation amounts and credit card information on Crusaders’ online donation pages, your payment is processed through the eWAY payment gateway.

When you select “Submit” on the web page, your credit card details are processed by the eWAY gateway with all exchange of information occurring in fully encrypted format. When the details have been verified with your bank and the donation processed, an email is sent to you with the details and your receipt.

Purchase of Resources

When you select the resource you are purchasing, you are linked to the e-commerce site “Shopify”. Once you go to the checkout, your personal information and credit card details are collected and processed by the eWAY gateway, with all exchange of information occurring in fully encrypted format. When the details have been verified with your bank and the payment processed, an email is sent to you with the details and your order is processed for dispatch.

Secure Sockets Layer

Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) ensures your online shopping experience is safe, sound and secure at all times.

SSL locks all information passed from you to Card Access Services or eWAY in an encrypted envelope. This makes it almost impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorised party, as long as your browser and local network support the use of encrypted data transmissions.

SSL is the system that is used by all reputable e-commerce sites. The industry standard for encryption technology, SSL is compatible with all standard web browsers including Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome.

An “https” in the browser address box in place of the usual “http” indicates that you have entered a secure session and will be present when you are requested to enter your credit card details. Other indicators will also be visible, depending on your choice of web browser. Typically, this includes a small ‘padlock’ symbol somewhere on the browser address bar.
