Bookings Manager

Location:                      Galston, Sydney

Employment Type:        Full-Time Permanent

CRU is a Bible-based, interdenominational Christian youth organisation whose mission is to help the students of the independent schools of Australia to know and follow Jesus. We seek to expose students to the gospel, win them to Christ, disciple them in their faith and train them for a lifetime of service.

This ministry is underpinned by the operation of Conference and Recreation Centres at Galston and Lake Macquarie where students and campers can enjoy a fantastic camp experience while at the same time grow in their faith.

Due to an extensive and transforming redevelopment of our Lake Macquarie site, we have a new role and an exciting opportunity for a Bookings Manager.

Based at Galston, with some travel as required, this role will report to the Director of Properties and will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing the bookings for both Galston and Lake Macquarie Conference sites
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to maximise revenue-generating opportunities, whilst ensuring that CRU’s ministry opportunities are supported
  • Responding with a customer service approach to booking enquiries both internally and externally
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to promote the sites; assisting with the development and implementation of online and social media strategies and other advertising channels
  • Managing Booking and Camp logistics to ensure our clients have a positive experience
  • Processing booking contracts and forms, ensuring a seamless administration process
  • Site Tours and promotion of the facilities and centres

Ideally, candidates will have the following:

  • Experience in Reservations/Bookings/Conferencing in the accommodation or travel industries
  • Hands-on experience with Reservation/Booking systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrive on problem solving and multi-tasking
  • Strong organisation skills and office efficiency with the ability to prioritise
  • Passion for providing friendly, personalised customer service
  • Excellent phone manner
  • A desire for ministry and an understanding of the dynamics of camping ministry would be an advantage but not essential
  • Mature and consistent Christian faith with active involvement in a Christian Church
  • A full agreement with Crusaders’ Statement of Belief
  • Hold a full Australian drivers licence
