At CRU Galston we offer a range of activities that help build a sense of community amongst our campers. Join in a game of soccer, try your hand at table tennis or challenge an opponent to a game of giant chess. There are also several bushwalking tracks where you can explore the 63 hectares of tranquil bushland and our camping experiences giving you the opportunity to sleep under canvase in tents or hutchies, share stories around the campfire while toasting marshmallows or learn how to make damper.

Activities that build confidence

If you’re wanting to try something new, from abseiling down our natural cliff face, experiencing the exhilaration on our indoor high ropes course or flying around our BMX track we have plenty of adventurous options to choose from. For those who love the water, we have a 20-metre swimming pool that is great for cooling off or playing pool games. Or you can take part in a survival scenario where two teams compete for limited resources to build a raft to race across a shallow water course. We also offer plenty of other team building activities including orienteering. And there’s also basketball and netball courts, beach volleyball and a games oval with equipment for cricket, football, soccer and Frisbee. From survivor challenges and wide games, to giant chess and archery, you certainly won’t run out of things to do!

Activities for all ages

Whatever activities your group is interested in, we can tailor a package to suit the age and abilities of your campers. If you’re organising a school camp, we also offer our CRU Educational Camps which are fully-programmed and include many of our outdoor adventure activities. With our qualified instructors and experienced outdoor education staff, you know you’ll be in safe hands!

Everything was in close proximity so the boys could do their retreat workshops and then have free time… lots of seating and tables were just outside, as well as chess and they loved the table tennis and pool.
